What amount of respect I had for Mr. Baumgartner has been removed by his inability to keep his mouth shut when speaking about things of which he knows nothing. Tell me, Mr. Baumgartner: how much Red Bull pay to have you fall (including the research necessary to make sure you didn't die)? Did you create any new technologies? Did you push the boundaries of existing technologies? Did you try to do something different other than change the height from which you fell? Do you do any research yourself or is your sole job to fall at the earth and not perish? No, Mr. Baumgartner, you broke a world record but did you LEARN anything other than you can do it without dying...and that you can overcome your fear of enclosed spaces? I think not. Astronauts are at least scientists, NASA and the other space agencies around the world enhance, increase, expand, and disseminate knowledge. You, Mr. Baumgartner, are just an ignorant weight that is very good at avoiding hitting the surface of the earth after flinging yourself at it. Meh. [Gary "how's that for a rant?"]
